Sadly our S2 Assistant, PFC Jonathan Zines is moving and will no longer be here as an member of the GJHS JROTC Staff. We wish the best to him in the Navy ROTC class and all other classes that he will be taking as of Saturday 9/29/2018.
Joining the JROTC Teams will bring tons of fun into your after school life and help you better understand the JROTC community.
The fundamentals of Drill are described in numerous ways, on the drill team we compete with others schools in modified and skilled drill movements. There are many types of drill such as Armed, Colorguard, unarmed, and exhibition. There is also what we call “saber team”, we do not compete with sabers on drill, that is only for ceremonial purposes. But exhibition on the other hand is a very skilled event which takes a while to thoroughly master, exhibition or what we call “X” involves complex sequences of tossing, flipping and maneuvering the rifles in its very own style.

The Raiders team is a changing experience for many people, it's a fun way to exercise, make friends, and build leadership. We take part in competitive physical fitness competitions. There is a variety of fun tasks we are assigned we have things like obstacle courses, 5k runs, and simulation rope bridges that build teamwork.
